Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your account and data from Bellr, the school communication app provided by Pixels Educational Services Limited. It applies to parents, school staff and schools.

1. Parents and school staff

You can request deletion in either of these ways:

  • Through your school: ask your school to remove you. The school removes your account in the Bellr app, and your access ends immediately.
  • Directly with Bellr: message us on WhatsApp at +234 803 663 4878 with your full name, your phone number registered in the app, and the name of your school.

We confirm your identity by checking that the request comes from, or matches, the phone number on your account. We then delete your account and tell your school.

2. Schools

A school's proprietor can close the school account and delete all of its data by messaging us on WhatsApp at +234 803 663 4878 from the phone number registered to the proprietor account. On request, we export the school's data before deleting it.

3. What we delete

  • Parent accounts: name, phone numbers, relationship to the student, PIN, notification token, and replies to school alerts.
  • Staff accounts: name, phone number, email, role, PIN or password, and notification token.
  • School accounts: all of the above for every user, plus student records, photos, attendance, alerts, daily logs, announcements, fee structures and bills.

Student records belong to the school. When a parent deletes their own account, the parent's details are deleted, and the child's school records stay with the school. A parent who wants the child's records deleted should ask the school, which controls that information.

4. What we keep, and for how long

  • Payment and receipt records are kept for up to 6 years, as required by Nigerian tax and accounting law. They are not used for any other purpose.
  • Backups containing deleted data are overwritten within 30 days after deletion.

5. How long it takes

We complete deletion within 30 days of confirming your request, and we message you when it is done.
